Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Music AI Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Stem Split app (the "App"), our website musicaistudio.app, and related services (together, the "Service").

By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. If you are younger, you may use it only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the App Store's usage rules.

3. Your content and copyright

"Your Content" means any audio, video or other material you import, upload, record or create using the Service, and the stems and other results generated from it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions and purchases

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the App, its design, software, models, text and graphics, and the Stem Split name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the licence in section 2, these Terms don't give you any rights in it.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may link to or rely on third-party websites and services (such as Apple, Stripe or cloud providers). We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, policies or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we are required to by law. If we stop offering the Service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice where we can. Sections 3, 6, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

9. Disclaimer

We work hard to make Stem Split great, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI separation, chord detection, lyrics and tempo analysis are automated and may not always be accurate, and results depend on the source audio. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and USD 100.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

11. Apple terms

If you downloaded the App from the App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property infringement. If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement and the App Store Terms of Service. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a concern, please contact us first. Most issues can be sorted out quickly by email.
